Begins the tour from your hotel or Connaught Place, officially known as Rajiv Chowk, a ring of colonnaded Georgian-style buildings with stores, cinemas, and restaurants all around. Then, venture to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a 17th-century Sikh shrine, and witness how they prepare lunch for up to 10,000 people at a time.

Next up is a trip to the Presidential Palace complex to see the heart of India’s Government Buldings. Pay your respects at India Gate, a war memorial commemorating the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during World War I,II and Afghan War.

Then, hop into a Tuk-Tuk to head to Lodhi Gardens, a sprawling city park spread over 90 acres of land. Learn about its history and take a stroll. Then, head to the posh Khan Market to grab lunch at one of Asia’s most expensive shopping areas.

After lunch, visit Humayun’s Tomb, the earliest substantial example of Mughal architecture in India. Explore the garden tomb which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, head to Old Delhi to visit the Jama Mosque, the epicenter of Delhi’s Muslim community.

Admire the red-sandstone walls of the historic Red Fort which was the former residence of Mughal emperors. After a stroll through the markets, find yourself in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi’s main street. Finally, get the subway back to Connaught Place to finish the tour.
